Smalls's story
Smalls is, of course, not small at all, but rather large, with a medium-length black-and-white coat. He was brought to the shelter as a lost cat, and we believe he's 1 year old. Meet him in our offsite adoption area at Pet Supplies Plus Dearborn, 2621 Telegraph Road. Smalls has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) but can live a normal, healthy, long life and can go to a home with FIV-negative cats. According to the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, neither a human nor a dog can be infected. Read more about FIV here: http://bit.ly/2nXvque ~ All of our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. ~ We do our best to update information on adoptable pets as frequently as we can. If youre interested in a specific pet, we recommend that you call the shelter and ask if he or she still is available. Adoption applications are processed in the order in which they're received.
For current adoption fees, please see our website, Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
